LA NIÑEZ Y LA VIEJES

  LA NIÑEZ Y LA VIEJES
By Elvia Valenzuela Ramirez
What is so unforgettable
Yet we forget the most
So many memories from childhood left us, What is left, will not let go
How different were the times
and yet we barely noticed it all  changed
In a blink of an eye
The times are no longer the same
My mom took me to school
And my dad was so strong
And now every once in a while
I miss what is long gone
The stories they would tell us
And the troubles we made
What I would give to see the youth of my parents We lived through it but
we did not appreciate
Those beautiful memories
So simple as they seem
Are what I appreciate most
And what I forget the least
