Protégete / Protégenos

Community. Health. Awareness.

During the pandemic, Kooltura supported the PROTÉGETE / PROTÉGENOS campaign, a grassroots initiative focused on delivering Spanish-language health and safety information to East San José residents. The campaign prioritized accessible messaging to help communities stay informed, safe, and connected during a critical time.

The Ask

The Sí Se Puede Collective needed a campaign that could communicate important health and safety information in a way that felt trusted, relevant, and easy to understand. The challenge was reaching residents in their native language with messaging that reflected their lived experiences while encouraging proactive community care. The campaign needed to build awareness and promote collective responsibility during a rapidly evolving public health crisis.

Kooltura Approach

Kooltura developed a culturally responsive strategy with visuals and messaging designed to resonate with East San José communities. The campaign centered accessibility and trust, ensuring health information could be understood by audiences of all ages. Our design process prioritized community relevance, cultural connection, and readability across multiple formats.
